Shuiluo in Sichuan

In late October, 2010, a Russian rafting team led by Max Goncharuk completed a first descent of the upper 50 km (30 miles) of the Shuiluo, then continued to complete a second descent of the stretch that Eric Hertz of Earth River Expeditions had first explored in 1996.

They put-in at an elevation of 10,650' near 29 02.775N, 100 36.615E. The upper 12 miles were Class 4-5, the next 18 miles were Class 2. With the exception of the large boulder jam shown on the Shuiluo 1996 webpage, they ran all of the rapids before taking out near N28 17.945 E100 40.229.

The upper section is a currently a good repeat run - they did not see any evidence of dam construction.
